Chapter 10

While I was reading chapter 10, I came across parenting styles and the different types. While reading the parenting styles I was curious on what kind of parenting I use. I find myself more of an authoritative type of parent because I keep rules in place to keep my son from doing the wrong thing and to learn if they do make some type of mistake. I couldn't be an authoritarian type of parent because I want my son to have fun and have memories of us doing fun things. I want to make sure that my son has guidance but enjoys his childhood. Seeing him happy makes me feel like I am doing my job as a parent. Watching him learn and grow is the best feeling in the world and that will never change. Kids are definitely the best gifts that we get in our lives. Parenting is definitely hard but we learn as we go no matter what style.
