Post 2 chapter 18

What I found interesting / what I learned was about children vs. adults alternate solutions. This can be found on page 496 of the text under alternate solutions. One thing I going interesting was "emerging adults are better problem solvers than both adolescents and the older adults." (Berger, 496), I found that surprising because usually you would think that adults make the better choice and make better decisions/ also, take better time and care to solve problems. This also relates to some situations I'm in where I made a better decision and had a better look out on things than me mom. Sometimes society and the world details us as kids that make bad decisions but this made me feel that we are better solvers for solutions. I learned a lot about emerging adulthood and how at this age we are more open to to new ideas, make multiple solutions on any problem, and how are cognitive mind changes and is different in between adolescence and adulthood. I liked how this was actually something I read positive about emerging adults and how we grow cognitively, when usually we hear that we don't make good decisions or solutions. I like how this actually builds me up and makes me think more positive when I have to make an adult decision. I also like that I don't have to compare my cognitive levels with adults because in some aspects we are more congnitvely grown then them. Great section to this chapter ! I learned a lot !
