Post 2

My second post is also going to address stereotypes. It's a shame that there are stereotypes in general. When we were all young, it didn't matter if people we're different. We always accepted other races, genders, sex ect. At least this is what I noticed from taking a "preschool lab" class in high school. We were the teachers of the preschoolers. Everyone played with everyone, when they were socially developed enough to do so, around five years old. It stinks that society and our experiences cause us to put people into certain groups and associate them with bad qualities because of a few experiences. I feel as though if everyone had the same views as they had when they were young, life would be so much more easy going. Another type of person I believe have an open mind regarding other people, are people who are disabled or blind ect. They want to be accepted by others and so they are willing to be friendly with everyone. It is a shame that someone has to go through something this traumatic to realize what is actually important. People with disabilities are stereotyped as childish or incompetent. If you have ever gotten the chance to get to know someone with a disability, you will most likely find that this isn't the case at all. The disabled people that I have had the privilege of meeting in my life have been the most uplifting people and are usually quite intelligent. I know that this is unrealistic but I hope that one day, everyone can view life in that manner and stereotypes will be eliminated.
