Romance and First Love

While figuring out this post I was trying to decide what the best topic to right about is and then I thought about some situations in my life and the section of first love came up and reading it was interesting. The people in my life have definitely out done the theory of high school relationships not lasting more than a year. My brother has been in his relationship for almost 4 years and someone else I know has been with the same person for 3 years and they live together with her parents. Both relationships have broken up for a day but then they got back together. How do we know in high school what we want for the rest of our lives; that is my question. I found it interesting that our textbook says that not many teenage romances do not include sexual intercourse. I have noticed that a lot more teens are getting pregnant especially here where I live. Teenagers don't really date anymore they just like someone and if they like them back then they are automatically going steady without even knowing the person. I know I wasn't personally ready and I got to know my son's dad. Turns out I didn't know him as well as I thought I did but either way we learn on what we like and don't like in a person. We don't really know what we want till we are mature enough and go through experiences that help us grow up. Breakups help us grow and learn more about ourselves. Personally, I don't like excessive drinkers but I love if they are good with kids.
