Blog 2 Week 2

I actually enjoyed reading this whole chapter, it was all very interesting and learned a lot from it.One thing the stood out to me was the Zone of Proximal Development. The information in the book corresponded to the discussion that we had to do earlier this week. The book used very good examples to plant a concrete image in my head of what it is. I did further research on the internet and found a really good example and it took the example step by step to make sure the reader really understands the concepts of the   Zone of Proximal Development. The example took a college student who has never played tennis before and put her in a tennis class. After mastering the basics of tennis the girl could not prefect the backhand. The instructor tried to help her out. He saw that she had perfect posture and was the movement correct. After trying to figure out what she was doing wrong he noticed she was gripping the racket wrong. The girl in the example was in the zone of proximal development for hitting successfully hitting the backhand. She was doing it correctly she just needed a few minor adjustments to get her back on track.
