Chapter 6

I would have started this sooner but I have a four year old son and he has been sick. I have been watching him closely due to the respiratory virus going around the country and I just want to be on the safe side. While I was reading chapter 6 I was doing a lot of comparing between my son and the book. I know all kids are different but this gave me some more insight on his cognitive development. Seeing the chart in the text (pg.166, Berger) about the development of spoken language within the first two years was fun to read because of how kids acquire language and learn. Reading the different theories of language learning is cool because you see peoples research about how language is learned. Watching my son grow up and acquire language and him speaking as well as he does now at four is amazing. He started to even acquire a little bit of Spanish so he wants to learn some Spanish.
